Corsa VXR opinions?
Discussion
Hi All
I have been looking for a new car for a little while and considered lots but today I was offered a deal on a new Corsa VXR a bit out of the blue, which is quite frankly too good to ignore. So I am considering buying one as a daily driver for the next few years.
I have a rather corporate job so I will likely go for a black or grey car so as to tone down the boy racer image so far as possible.
I am test driving this week but wanted to gauge some opinions first, particularly from those with them.
Cheers

Hi my wife has run one from new, 57 plate on 18" wheels. No real problems in 20K miles apart from rear wheel bearing which is a known fault. Not really my cup of tea but she loves it. Very fast on boost, but in my oppinion acceleration is a bit start stop when you change gear and lose boost so you proceed in a series of lunges compared to normal petrol engine. Otherwise it handles well has enormous grip and the ride is not too bad considering the wheels. Looks very nice in red partic with the big wheels. When we bought ours colour was restricted to black, red, blue and black.
Great little hot hatch. Far better real world car than the stripped out clios etc as it has alot more usable torque, brilliant front seats but then I am getting on I suppose as 40 plus! Just about to put the wifes "tweeked" 60 plate car (aka Mk 1 Nurburgring rep) up for sale as she can't be bothered to learn to drive and Id rather drive my RS6 as good as the little VXR is.
My brother would be a good person give advice on these.
Owned his from brand new, now 5 years and 72,000 miles and still going strong.
He loves the car, it's such a thrill to drive. As standard the power is a little bland, but with the precat removed and a stage 1 map, it would keep most happy.
Other than the rear wheel bearings on the early models, think that's the only real issue.
Brilliant cars.

Really revvy or? For example what rpm is it doing at 80 mph?
