Well, at 99k miles I've a 2008 Vectra 1.9CDTi (150) with a knackered DMF.

MOT passed (good), but advisory on the noise from the engine at all speeds. The car was only meant as a stop-gap but after nearly a year it's still with me.

So, any rough guides to cost or affects if I leave it? I've had a quote of £1k ish - is this a bit rich?

Thanks in advance.

1k to change a flywheel? Lrofl:
I wouldn't know if that's normal tbh but did you ask them what their hourly labour rate is?

Sell it as is and buy a Supra or 300ZX biggrin

Genuine parts range from £390-£500 + VAT for the flyhweel & your looking at 5.2 to 6.0 hours labour. Soon adds up!!
