Astra Convertible (02 Reg) - Any experiences?
Discussion
Mrs BF has decided she wants a new car.
Must be convertible
Must have 4 seats
Must be available in yellow/gold
Must be cheap (sub 2k)
In my mind, the Astra Bertone Convertible fits the bill nicely, would be looking at the 1.8 or 2.2 petrol.
Anyone have any experience with them?
Reasons why she should or shouldn't have one?
Cheers

We had one a few years ago. We have two boys and at the time one was about 3 and still in his child seat and the other was about 11/12. I'm 6' 2" and never had any probs fitting in as the seats adjust up and down. The boot is a very good size considering and unlike the new hard top/convertibles the boot space remains the same regardless of roof up or down. We had the 1.6, which was ok, but lacked performance. I would recomend the 2.2 as I have had a few Astras with that engine. If/when you buy one, just make sure all the electrics work and the roof goes up and down properly and smoothly. I couldn't fault it during the year we owned it.
