Any Audio Installers on here Help With Vauxhall Signum
Discussion
Hi Can anyone help here, I have a 2003 Vauxhall Signum. I'm replacing the standard radio with a JVC unit but having trouble getting the correct adapter lead. Getting conflicting advise from shops and still no radio!
The existing head unit lug in to what is 2 standard iso ? plugs and 3rd plug that looks like a slightly bigger iso.
I thought I'd just be able to use the 2 standard iso lead to install the radio, but doing this and i have no power going to the new head unit. So what adapter lead do i need ?
Thanks

Not exactly sure what you're asking - the connector on the back of the Signum HU is a Quadlock connector, and IIRC you'll need a FAKRA ariel adaptor too.
Quadlock-ISO connectors are available from anywhere like Halfrauds.
If you're saying you've tried the Quadlock-ISO lead and it's not working, it's because the constant and switched live feeds are backwards on Vauxhalls. The adaptor harness should have bullet connectors on the red (permanent) and yellow (switched) live wires. Unplug these and swap them over, that should sort it out.

There are numerous threads dealing with this, I used them to help me change the head unit in an 06 Zafira earlier in the year, bought the bits they advised and it was a 15 minute job.
As noted above though, the power leads are the wrong way around on VX cars
