Hi all. Woke up a few days ago and found that someone has smashed my wing mirror. The enclosure part is ok but the glass is smashed and was loose about 50 yards down the road. Ive bought the replacement glass off ebay but im having trouble fitting it. Its an electric/heated mirror and i can't clip it in to the moving parts. Anybody fitted one of these before ?

This happened to my old corsa, but I couldn't get the glass back in because the clips that go into the motor cogs had snapped and were trapped behind. Also, the seal was completely knackered. Check if there's any stray plastic bits in there blocking the new glass going in.

I ended up replacing the whole wing mirror for around £35. Just bought an unpainted one and popped the coloured part off the back of my broken one and fixed it onto the new one. Much easier...

Thanks for the reply. I was told to put some vaseline on the clips to help them slide on but even that didnt work. I've ended up buying the full mirror replacement like you said so ill just fit that
