Corsa 56 plate 1.0 Eco 3cyl

Mates girlfriends car. Mate just text me, car won't start AA reckon chain has gone. How much to replace?

Had to explain its not that simple as it will have done damage, I'm assuming it's an interference engine? Can someone please confirm?

Read something about a recall, would a 56 fall under that recall? She's had it from new I think.

He said it drove fine, parked up and left it. Came back out and it wouldn't start. Fair enough timing chains and belts can go on start up but it's not the norm especially on a 56 plate.

Anyone have any info on this engine? Thanks
