55 astra cdti 1.7 electrical problem? help please

Hi all

every now and again my astra when i put my foot down the service light comes on.and i loose all turbo and cruise control. i have to pull over turn engines off and take key out then start her up again to get it all back working?

I really can't afford to fix anything major is there anything i could check?
