Not looking for help or advice I'd just like to have a little rant! I bought a 08 1.9 cdti sri vectra last week with 62,000 miles on the clock. It was running perfectly and I was so happy but was driving home 6 days into ownership and heard a faint whining and then a very loud bang! Got out and had a look underneath and couldn't notice anything so I towed it down to the garage for a look the next day. They rang me to say that the diff had fallen out and new gearbox for me frown 62,000 miles! The warranty is up at 60,000 frown I'm in ireland myself and rang the A-Z of breakers in the south and the north and every single one had an F40 but none had the M32 so had to order it in from a very helpfull crowd in middlesbrough for £900 without shipping! No point in the rant other than if you're buying a 08+ vectra you double check the fking gearbox frown
Feel a bit better now that I've vented smile

M32 in a Vectra? Really? That's pretty poor show, I always thought the Vectra used the F40 which is infinitely better in every way over the chocolate M32.

I was convinced it was the f40 from the second I got it because the engine sounded like and drove like my old saab 9-3 (which has the F40). I had one ready to go for £300 but they tell me its the M32 which is worth £900 at least, sick wasn't a strong enough word frown
