Hi All, hoping someone can help please? The wife's 08 Zafira 1.9D 150bhp has just come out of the manufacturer's warranty period. A week before the warranty ran out, we had an emissions control failure light, which resulted in a new EGR valve been fitted under warranty by our local main dealer. The car has always been serviced at a main dealer.

My wife now says the car is losing power when she goes over a certain speed, and juddering. I haven't been able to get out in the car, but have booked it in to get looked at at the same main dealer from before.

Does anyone know what might be the problem? There are no warning lights on the dash, and there have been no lights saying the DPF needs to clean, so i don't think it is this?

On a slightly similar topic biggrin does anyone know if the Vauxhall entended warranty is any good? Or any alternatives?

Thanks,
Paul

It's as useless as the normal warranty. Alternatives? No warranty, at least you save the few hundred quid.

Could be the inlet manifold, they have a series of flaps in the inlet manifold that are known to collapse and cause similar problems to what you describe however it could be many other things potentially. If you take it to a Vauxhall dealer they will usually cover this problem outside of the 3 year warrant providing all service hisory is complete. This may require you paying for a diagnostic fee as vehicle is outside normal warranty refundable dependent on outcome.
