03 Corsa mega oil consumption????

Help please!!

My daughter-in-law has an 03 1.2 Corsa which is using a couple of litres of oil a week, doing very few miles, just shopping and taking the baby to nursery etc.

No pools of oil under the car, and no smoke screen when driving. Local mechanic (who sold her the car!) stumped.

Any ideas??

It's a 1.2 Corsa, that's what the do. Is it the 3 cylinder one?

Not sure of the number of cylinders. Oil consumption seems shocking, though.

The 3 cylinder ones a prone to burning oil and other problems.

the 1.2 is a 4 cylinder , they do seem to drink oil reasonably rapidly but not as rapidly as litres in a week ...

Does it hav an undertray? It could be pooling on the tray and then pouring out when she is driving about

They also did a 3 cyl 1.2 which used oil.

It will be a z12xe in a cirsa of that age, 4 cylinder
