The total amount raised through raffle ticket sales and the auction at BTaP 2010 is:

£4795

We will donate this amount to Cancer Research as per usual, and I'd like to thank you for your generosity on their behalf biggrin

Thanks guys!

Not sure PH can justifiably claim that though. From the email about my donation:

Cancer Research email said:
Dear xxx

Thank you very much for your kind gift of £x to support the work of Cancer Research UK.

Our work, funded entirely by supporters like you, has been at the heart of progress that has seen cancer survival rates double in the last thirty years. However, one in three of us will still get cancer at some point, and it is vital we continue to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer to ensure millions more people will survive.

We have contributed to 19 of the top 20 drugs used to treat cancer patients worldwide and with your help we can continue our research which includes supporting over 100 clinical trials and funding more than 4,500 researchers, doctors and nurses throughout the UK.

The reference number for your donation is: D0207xxx

Please keep this safe in case you have any queries. You might like to print this email or save it.

If you have any questions or would like further information on the work of Cancer Research UK, please do not hesitate to get in touch on 020 7121 xxxx or by email at supporter.servicesATcancer.org.uk.

Yours sincerely

Claire Xxxxxx
Head of Supporter Services
Cancer Research UK

P.S. If you were kind enough to tick the Gift Aid checkbox when making your online donation, we would like to thank you for agreeing that each and every one of your gifts should be treated as a Gift Aid donation. By enabling us to claim the tax back on gifts made to Cancer Research UK for the past four years, this is worth at least 25% more to us at no extra cost to you. There are a few important points regarding your Gift Aid donations that you should know:

· You must have paid an amount of income tax (or capital gains tax) at least equal to the value of the tax we will reclaim on your behalf. We will reclaim a sum equal to around 25% of the total value of all the gifts you make in any given year.

· You may withdraw your permission for us to reclaim the value of the tax paid on your donations within 30 days of the date of this email (in which case we will not claim any tax on your behalf) or at any time subsequently if you wish. A cancellation received after 30 days only affects donations received from that date.

· Please keep us informed of any changes to your tax status or personal details.
While I've given them authority to claim the benefit it's theirs to claim, not 'ours/mine' to give IYSWIM?

Pretty sure they'll know how to get this sorted.
