Anybody know if the hotel / anywhere nearby has a bonfire on for the Friday night before the evening descends into a trial run for Saturday?

scratchchin Or, possibly, somewhere that's just selling bonfire toffee by the KG and has furniture we can torch?

I believe that there's usually a firework display at Thornbury, but I can't find confirmation.

Wotton seems to have given up on their's after a washout in 2008!

I haven't told my son I won't be able to take him the fireworks yet...just hoping his dad will do it for a change.

I'm booked for the Saturday and was thinking of doing a B&B somewhere halfway (or thereabouts - bringing something nice to play in so happy to detour within reason for good roads/good place) from London on the Friday too. Any suggestions?

J S G - are you bringing your own cider like at Le Mans? wink

Mr P - How're things? smile Definitely up for that, although can't believe you'll all be having a quiet one on Fri?! Any ideas on which vehicle you're bringing?

Things ticking over, plenty of work around smile You?

Should be the 355. I have a conference in Birmingham on Thursday/ Friday morning so need to check parking for that first.

Kiss it... Beer's for queers!
(And those with better yeast tolerance)

Shampoo all night. Even for the strawpedos. *Knows he's going to get called on that one*

It's only 120 miles from London... and a straight run on the M4. Pit-stop half way (Swindon?!?) seems an "interesting" choice if you avoid the Friday traffic?

Will be bringing the toy, too - morning fun on the lanes definitely needed. Tempted by a run across to Wales.

If Tony is organising the Friday night, no-one is going anywhere on Saturday

There, cage well and truly rattled, may it now start raining shots and strawpedos. Looking for to the next DD's too drunk
