We have got some great prizes for the raffle and the drunken midnight auction, Jamie this could prove expensive for you hehe

We'll announce the full list on Friday, but to whet your appetite....do you fancy a weekend in a Jaguar XFR?

It's going to be a good one, oh yes

Are the proceeds for charity? If so would be happy to donate a small item

Paul - is there any reason in particular why there isn't a thread asking members to donate raffle prizes? We have had some superb items in the past, including mini motorbikes (which did surprise Vicki a bit when she went to bed, to find a motorbike tucked up under the duvet!) and all sorts of goodies.

Are there some corporate regs that prevent it?

Not at all sir, not at all.

We have simply been doing well from car manufacturers and advertisers and that is the only reason why we didn't open it up. All donations are welcome however, so if anyone does want to donate anything then we will (of course) gladly accept.

Items on offer this year include:

The aforementioned Jaguar XFR
A Caterham for 24 hours
Porsche driving experience at Silverstone
McLaren coffee table book signed by Ron himself

and there is plenty more where that came from smile

Cool!

I could offer a bird table but a) I couldn't get it in the car to bring down, b) the winner probably wouldn't be able to get it in the car to take it home, and c) not many people might actually want a bird table biggrin

Sounds like the perfect auction item for Jamie. wink

You wouldn't have to bring it down - we'd simply tell Jamie it was 'out back'. Once he'd won it in the auction and donated it again the auctioneer could conveniently forget to re-auction the item so nobody has the problem of fitting it in the car to get it home. biggrin

The fact that not many people might actually want it always seems to make it much more attractive for him in the auction .... hehe

I will never ever forget the look on Escargots face when he bid for, and won, the tv at the drunken auction at BTaP many many moons ago. The fact he managed to coherently shout "£500" was a major feat in itself, considering the absolute state he was in rofl

From what Jamie has been saying about BTaP so far this year, I think that many of us have serious reason to be worried...
