Done a quick search with the usual suspects - all come back at £106 fixed, or £116 flexi for a double/twin.

Any better offers?

One would suspect a special rate will be announced when the tickets will go on sale Matt

Plus taxes and fees when you actually try to book it, still cheaper than the £106 in the OP admittedly.

Just to confirm chaps, PH won't be offering any hotel deals for 09.

If we block booked we could get a small discount, but there was no guarantee that laterooms or whoever wouldn't be able to beat it (as per last year). You'd probably do better by calling the hotel directly too, as they discount according to your negotiation skills.

I believe there is also a Travel Lodge type place nearby if you fancy that?

It just works out cheaper for you this way.

Although at the expense of the fact that hotel rooms could run out long before BTaP tickets do.

Swings & roundabouts. You can't win either way.

Perhaps mate, but as it seems there are no other functions on (awaiting written conf) it's unlikely that we will fill the entire hotel. We were far from it last year in fact.

The £88 rate is non-refundable though. Standard price is £101 so only a fiver in it.

Well that's good then. There were rumours of perhaps 2 other functions last night.

yes

I rang them yesterday and they said they would almost certainly be catering for a wedding and there would be another event being held also.

But meh, if they confirmed otherwise than more room for us! thumbup

Verbal confirmation received that we are on our own that weekend, but I am awaiting a written confirmation of that.....fingers crossed, as I won't believe it until I see it.

I've been to every BTaP and reckon I've spent a total of about 8 hours sleeping in a room in total.

Perhaps this year I just wont bother with a room! biggrin

I appear to have a 'lake view room' however I don't actually remember the room from last time I went to BTaP...
