Thought I'd better write something to show my thanks to everyone who voted for JeremyC and I last night, for the Surrey Run events, as just a load of mumbling, incoherent drivel came out as my acceptance speech. [and I was sober too!]

For those of you who could hear me....sorry. For those of you who couldn't....lucky you.

It was fantastic to receive an award for doing something I really enjoy anyway. It was a total surprise (and it showed), and hopefully if I'm ever in that fortunate position again, I'll learn from JeremyC to put the mic in the other guy's hand and let him suffer while I think of something useful to say.

Anyway, many, many thanks for voting, and hope lots of you can make it to the next Run, to be announced.

PS. Ted, fantastic awards....top class. Great evening.

Watched it last night, looked a brill run, shame it's so far away - cracking camera work, I've already asked one of the guys in our editing suite whether I can borrow one of the digi-cams at the weekend... a resounding "NO" came back before I'd finished the question

It was talking to you about the drive to spain that ha made me look at all these Griff adverts and call my financial advisor this morning!
