So, how much did we raise last weekend?

£2,856 woohoo

Thank you so much to everyone who bought a ticket, a car, stuck their hand up in the auction or who simply chucked us a few quid for the pot.

We'll get the cash in the bank and straight off to Cancer Research.

The good news is that Nubbin and Tuscan Rat (c/o JamieB) have allowed us to sell the famous SEAT doors to add to the charity pot. We'll do this either through a forum auction or the PH classifieds, so thanks to those guys we 'aint finished yet smile

Thanks again for your generosity yes

Good job!

I'm glad to hear the money is going to a worthwhile cause. The drunk auction was great, though my lass kept putting her hand over my mouth as she thought I may have tried to take part in the drunken bidding!

I still think we need to find some way of getting back to the Ted days where we were nudging £5,000.

Just thinking back to 2004, I won a motorbike in the raffle and someone paid £500 for a framed pic of my vehicle on EuroHoon and then Jamie-style promptly gave it to me.

</a>

Those were the days and with arguably more members there is no reason why we shouldn't hit those figures again yes

I would gladly donate some of our products to the raffle , but somehow fitting a 2m high bird table or a 4m high Dovecote into someone's sports car may prove tricky biggrin

I'm up for upping the amount/ quality of the 'prizes' if we can yes

Don't forget that this year we were approx 70 people down from the days of £5k charity donations, so not a bad haul at all.

But yes I agree, let's try and better it next year- I still think we did bloody well though.

We'll gladly take the bird table too.....

  • %@*!
Just changed ONE pic on my profile and it buggered up the whole lot ... then I lost the lot. Just taken me 20 mins to reload 'em all! annnd relax

And trust me Paul, you'd need a big vehicle for one of the bird tables ... like a Jeep with the back seats down smile

I reckon we'll get £200 or so each for these doors to a BTCC nutter somewhere, so we'll be over the £3k mark...maybe even £3.5k with a bit of luck.

Just tell Jamie the final bid price and he's probably double it. hehe

However, it might be £425 down from what I hear, as someone who shall remain nameless got a text yesterday asking to pay up, when they weren't even at the auction hehe
