500 miles in the rain with a TVR wearing P6000's

That was my driving experience....especially the journey home this morning with standing water on the M40 and a wall of water coming from all the HGV's.

I think I might get some better tyres...paperbag

What about the 'expensive sounding' metallic knocking sound?

Did you manage to track that down? Or was it really the luggage knocking about in the boot?

Ouch, I don't envy you.

In fact, when I left the car park and slithered out onto the wet, sleety, soggy-leaved roads I was - almost - glad I was in a barge and not a rocket-powered madmobile.

Almost.
Doing 200 miles up the M1 in some of the most atrocious weather made me very glad that I was in a slow, warm, comfortable barge and completely removed the "aw shit, my car's really slow" feeling I got on the run down from LFE.
