PH has grown, I assume everyone that went last year had a great time, it's the same venue, and yet last year there was a scramble for tickets and they sold out PDQ, so what's changed? or are we now in a much bigger function room?

I don't think there was such a scramble last year as it was a bigger venue than previously.... 2005 was like Glastonbury for tickets!

I agree, 2006 was the year we could all get a ticket.

I do sense a lot of 'meh' from a lot of the more established members - a lot of the old friends I was hoping to catch up with have decided not to go this year. Maybe it's indicative of the change in atmosphere on PH of late.

Plotty - I hope you're going to be social and chat to me this year rather than letting your wife do all the work. winkhehe

I've only been to two BTaP's but I was thinking about going this year and kind of had that reaction. (Plus last time out my girlfriend ha d a bit of a torrid time (Alcohol induced on her part) and so I don't think she'd be up for it again!)

Lo Pod wavey

Would like to go, might even try to moderate the sillyness and remember it this year, but unfortunately am working away and will struggle to get there and back in time. I'd probably have to leave the bar before it shuts..

Still, on reflection, that might save me the cost of the room for the night.. Just need one for a little pre-dinner nap.. hehe

ETA: meh

...which is a shame, as there are some people going who've been 'about' on PH for a long time, but haven't had anyone to go with up to this point. I wasn't thinking of me, so much as of himself. wink

Must say ... I have noticed the same thing. Maybe PH is simply a victim of its own success.

I would agree as far as the forums are concerned although I'd also say that I'm reading much more of the main pages now as the quality and volume of the news articles has improved in a way that should be expected with more contributors and editorial staff.
