Hello all

Just a quick one. Pie? Now we all know that pie is Teds fave, but a few e mails have been sent to me asking for something other than pie for our scoff at BTaP?

Who votes to save the pie?

Who fancies a change?

You can't please all the people all the time so, either go for a nice steak and ale pie, a nice chicken pie, or the boring standby, chicken breast in some unidentifiable white sauce.

Backed up by a decent veggie option so that even if the non-veggies do not fancy pie then they can go for that.

Fish is the only definite no no as many people simply don't like it.

I'm always one to argue quality rather than quantity where food's concerned. However, 12 hours of drinking requires some serious sustenance.

I don't care what the menu is, as long as I still don't feel hungry after finishing off 3 other people's meals this time.

Another vote for pie. In fact, you could do a very nice Venison and Red Wine pie for the normal people and a rather lovely Mediterranean Roast Vegetable pie for the lentalists. And before any lentalists start having a pop, nursey's one!

If we're doing pie - then it's got to be Steak & Guinness pie yes

It's got to be pie.

But if it's not pie, I won't mind, as long as in the interests of pedantry, we change the name of the event to reflect what we are having.

Black tie & some chicken in white sauce stuff.

Or, as a coverall,

Black tie & mass catering at £XX.XXp per head.

Nice work chaps. Seems like pie then?

As for chicken in white sauce, isn't that the worst thing ever.....except when in a pie strangely enough scratchchin

Can't we just send someone out to the local chippy for a few hundred Pukkas?

I did once offer Ted the chance for Peter's to sponsor the event and supply their rather lovely Premier Balti pies, but it was a few years ago when pies didn't actually appear!

Pie. End of discussion.

Perferably a bit bigger than last years one though.
