Comedy bar prices aside, I thought the venue was excellent.

Food was splendid, but as a Wigan born pie eater I guess I would say that.

Company was excellent as well, although I may perhaps extend apologies for enthusiatic clapping methods.

Didn't seem too bad considering how great the venue was, they could easily have got away with quite a lot more profit on them if they wanted to.

Forgot to ask for the vintage port on ncs' behalf though, that's got to be the measuring stick on bar prices.

The spa on Sunday was awesome. Spend six hours there and didn't want to leave. A Crytsal Sauna follwed by ice cold bucket shower is a truly amazing way to get rid of a hangover!

Its around the £20 mark in some places. Much better value to sit at a table and have a whole bottle.

It's expected that you'll get ripped off at a hotel bar, but at least they could have been consistent! By the end of the night I was expecting the bar staff to just ask me to think a of random number.

We were in the back of beyond too!

We walked passed that... carried on... and on... and on... went through passport control... then found they'd given us a twin room irked

(they did sort it, although quite honestly experience tells me you do not argue with Rude Girl hehe )

The receptionist sounded surprised when she checked that we did, in fact, book a twin room.... I made it very clear (very quickly) that yes, a twin room was more than adequate, thank you! laugh

Just for the record, Vixpy was a perfect gentleman and looked after me very well

Same here, had to walk so far I'd sobered up by the time I got to bed.

OK, that was a lie - I think I finally sobered up when the postman rang the door bell this morning. silly

Had fun trying to find my way back to our room from Plotloss's at 5.00am. Ended up getting into a service lift but then thought better of it - imagining ending up in the kitchens and greeted by a bunch of angry knife-wielding Europeans.

Finally found my way back and passed a very sorry looking chap sat on one of the chairs in the corridor who'd made a splendid display of vegetables and red wine at his feet.

Nice to finally meet a few people. Great crowd and a cracking atmosphere.

Think we took the twin off you and you apparently got my rather luxurious double room!

Oh well, was only used to sleep in.
