Thanks to those that gave so generously to our charity auction on Saturday.

Obviously I left with major IOUs so could I ask that (in the cold light of day) that you now find the necessary monies.

Winners of the items included ShadyTree, Hughesie, Lois?, Wedge Girl, rods, FourWheelDrift, Boyd, BossCerbera.

It's been suggested that donating via www.justgiving.com/melsbtap is an easy and sensible means of giving the money as it then benefits from gift aid tax relief stuff.

Please let me know if you donate via that and I'll tick your name off my debt collection list

Thanks again, you generous lot!

You won the first 2006 PH calendar

You came close on the other items but just succeeded in pushing Shadytree to more generous levels

Shady got the Aston Pics x 2 and the karting.

Again, please use Mel's site as linked below as that's the most tax efficient way of doing it.

Richard Burns at the weekend and now the co-founder of Circuit Driver magazine...

Circuit Driver's Editor said:

Bob Maclaren

Dear all,

It is with great sadness that I must report the death of Circuit Driver's
MD, and close friend, Bob Maclaren.

Bob passed away peacefully last night after a long but spirited battle with
cancer. He was 32.

Over the past couple of weeks Bob had been working on plans for a charity
track day event with Jonathan Palmer in aid of the Royal Marsden hospital,
Ipswich hospital's Sommersham Ward and the St Elizabeth Hospice, where Bob
underwent treatment. In accordance with his wishes we plan to continue with
this event in Bob's memory and hope that we can count on your support for
this very worthwhile cause.

Full details to follow but for now our thoughts are with Bob's wife, Emma
and daughter Isabel.

Bob will be greatly missed by the motorsport and track day world not to
mention his many friends. He achieved much in a short time quite often at
high speed. Think of Bob clocking 176mph on the Rickinghall bypass in a
Porsche GT3 laughing his head off.

Go well Bob.

You did.

BMW 7 series with Chauffeur, available any day excluding Xmas/new year period.
Small print etc: Maximum 500 miles/12 hrs.( Round trip from base )
Ideal for theatre trip, weekend away, airport transfers ( could split into 2 trips for this ).

It was worth around £750. Let me know if you want the contact details. If you wanted to use it in Sheffield you could have 100 miles worth Or you could bank it for next time you need a cab in Cardiff

Thanks very much anyway - most generous of you.

Did the Betty Boop stuff go in the end, or did it meet with a total lack of interest?

I could have done with that a few weeks ago

Further donation made, because few here will actually relise just how much this actually hurts! And I've lost several close ones, a worthy cause.

Just remember to use lots of talc, and going commando reduces ingrows!!!!

Bugger - I did remember at 3:00am that there was meant to be an auction and that I'd probably missed it.

Oh well - added another £50 to Mel's total anyway.
