For making BTaP such fun.

Organising events like this really isn't my specialist subject nor the normal focus of day to day work at PH, but it's very gratifying after the event to know everyone had a great time and that it all went without a hitch.

There were so many people I hoped to have a natter with who I didn't catch up with, some of whom I didn't even set eyes on all night! It was great to catch up with those that I did find.

As for the charity side of things, I'm a bit lost for words. Thank you to all those who donated prizes (apologies to those who's prizes I forgot to include), thank you to those that donated prior to the event and to those who contributed to Mel's fantastic BSc project. Whether it was a single £5 raffle ticket or hundreds of pounds in the raffle it matters not, the combined generosity of PHers totalled over £8000! It's heartwarming to be part of this community at times like this.

I'll say it now - that's an immense amount of money and not a target I'm setting out to beat next year! Whatever we raise next year will be as important as this year regardless of the final tally.

Thanks again for making PH so much more than just a website.

£8k is a fantastic figure.

I never thought I'd say this, but Mels speach bought a tear to my eye - I lost my dad to cancer just three weeks ago so everyones efforts touched me in a way I didnt expect.

See - you can get pissed & do mankind some good at the same time!

Thank you

Nick

Thanks again for making PH so much more than just a website.

There's a motto in there I think..

Without PH I would never have met my Nothern buddies whome I love Dearly.
It was a great night Ted.

Don't be too harsh on the hotel. I chose it so if I chose a venue with too small a bar than that's down to me. I saw three bar staff working frantically at about 3pm on Saturday.

I'll try to find a venue with a 50ft bar next year

No one seemed to suffer from a lack of alcohol though

That was funny!! He really did look like a murderer though, kinda scared me! Big dark circles around his eyes and a dangerous glare...

Nice chap but looked like he'd rape your cat

I think it was him who finally got me into my room after being locked out at 4am!
Thanks for your efforts there Pwig
