I was wondering about this also. Have some Church's patent leather jobs which I've only worn once, at my bro's wedding last year. Given that you can't use shoe polish on 'em, not sure what I'd do if they got beer coated.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought he looked like that. I'm just wearing a pair of black leather shoes, if I'm feeling adventurous I may make the effort and polish them though!

you wipe them with a damp cloth and use one of those silicone shoe shine thingies.
if you are not wearing them for some time then smear them in vaseline it stops the leather drying out and cracking.just wipe off and polish ...can use furniture polish if you havent got any silicone. I have been known to use autoglym Plastic cleaner on mine.
