Anyone still owe some dosh? By my records there are a few but then again I was a bit pissed and may have misallocated the cash given to me on the night.

I'm not going to go around chasing individuals. It's for charity - I shall rely on you to pay your dues.

If you have paid then please send me a cheque made payable to Cancer Research UK. Send it to

Sorry, I did of course mean if you haven't paid.

Have to say I'm a bit disappointed not to have been contacted about this unless my notes are vastly incorrect and everyone has paid.

So far I've got £4460 (thanks to those that sent extra).

By my reckoning there's £395 outstanding.

Come on guys - that only leaves £146 and we've broken £5,000!

As long as those that should pay up that is.

Just send a cheque for £20, I'm sure we'd be there in no time

Got a nice letter from Cancer Research today in fact. I'll post a copy up later. Total was a shade under £4800.

Thanks Ted, for the thank you letter to WHS. They were absolutely thrilled to receive it. No doubt it will mean more stuff for next year.

Can you post the letter a bit bigger please, it's just temptingly too small to read.

The Letter said:

Yours is such a distinctive business name that I recognised it instantly. Thank you very much for choosing to support Cancer Research UK again, it is much appreciated.

On behalf of Cancer Research UK I would like to thank you for your generous donation of £4,745.00 raised through your raffle and auction at your annual dinner. (The prizes on offer must have been amazing to have raised so much! Please accept this letter as your receipt and extend my warmest tanks to everyone who made this amount possible.

I notice that you sent the funds to our London address, perhaps you might like to update your records to our new regional office address above? This would mean that you do not have to wait quite so long for a reply as it comes to myself directly.

With all the new science discoveries currently coming through clinical trials as well as the basic science laboratories, there are very exciting times. You may be assured that our scientific team will make excellent use of your generous fundraising.
Thank you once again, for your vital support.

Yours sincerely
