BTaP is back!

January blues getting you down? BTaP's return should help

We're pleased to announce that Black Tie and Pie will return after a break in 2013 and this year will be bigger and better than ever before. Think of the best birthday party you've been to and multiply it by ten as this year marks PistonHeads' 15th anniversary. We're nearly all grown up...

We plan on marking PH's 15th year in style and BTaP will be the pinnacle of our celebrations. And the more the merrier as far as parties go, right? If it was PH's 15th wedding anniversary, tradition actually dictates we should receive some crystal. But don't worry, your presence will suffice on the gift front.

The date for BTaP 2014 is Saturday April 5 and the venue is Tortworth Court hotel in the Cotswolds. We have specially booked some good weather so should be able to make use of the hotel's 30 acres of grounds. Tickets are £75 and will go on sale on next week. Watch this space for further details as we get them.

The format will be the same as 2012 but, if you have never been before and are wondering what on earth BTaP is, feel free to check out the 2012 info thread here.

Pictures from the 2012 event here.

And for general BTaP information, the BTaP forum is here.

We look forward to seeing you there.

April indeed.

Cancelled last event was disappointing so we wanted to reinstate ASAP, add in the fact it's our birthday and we may be able to utilise outside space and it seemed a nice idea to try a new season.

Who knows where BTaP moves in years to come, but I want to have this event as a nice birthday bash, a huge party to end all parties with the prospect of getting out on the lawn too.

November doesn't work for some, I'm sure April will suffer similarly, but we'd love to see some of you there.

Good idea to move it to a potentially warmer time I think.

touch and go if we can make it though as have a competition in Bournemouth that day - jaunt up the quick roads might get us there depending on times on the south coast.

I want to go, but will have to see how March pans out with the new company, it will be a very tough 17 days for me and will probably need a week off just to recover.

Might buy a few tickets anyway and wing it...

(Sods law says its either snowing or another round of rain in April)

Just about typical of my luck really. I was all revved up for 2013, now this one is the day after I break up from uni which means itll be a massive rush to attend.
Still, I'm gonna go for it! I suppose I should get onto the hotel asap before all the rooms go

Best mate's wedding. frown

Shame - over the Christmas break is when I really started missing the last one (realising I hadn't seen people for a long time).

In 2009, I think it was, I had a (support) gig to play in north Kent in the evening, an Exige to collect from Leeds in the morning, and BTaP to attend.

So did all three biggrin (car in leeds early, via bar for afternoon at BTAP, home to kent, play gig, back to BTaP for 11pm).
