...of course we all know that Mike Reid and James Whale were there but did anyone else spot David Baddiel and Nick Mason (drummer for Pink Floyd)?

Ah - goatee boy - you've woken up then?

Did you lose the deposit on the hired suit or did you convince them that Jim Bean flavoured vommit was a fantastic new design feature

£22 for Port ?!?!?!?

I thought I was doing well with £31 for a scotch and coke, a G&T and a white wine...

You didn't have the pleasure of watching him trying to get his tongue into the glass to get at the last pound's worth that had settled at the bottom.

Im so glad I didnt offer to buy port for everone on our table.

I did mention that I only wanted to buy a glass not the whole bottle!

One large glass of vintage port - £22.40

I have made the management aware of my feelings, in hindsight I should have given it back & said no ta.

Oh well - its only money!

Given that the usual phrase that passes from my gob is "I don't drink" (which - as a rule - I don't) then on the first occasion for years that I wasn't going to be driving home afterwards I decided to "have a couple of bevvies" just to be sociable...

...the bar bill at checkout time was quite scary!
