Shadytree bought respect from every last person there, with one of the most generous donations seen in a long time. And then giving the picture he bidded for to Burriana500 nearly brought a tear to a few peoples' eyes.

Nice one Shady.

Yup - I think that story was told a good few times at breakfast on Sunday ... Good on ya Shadytree for not only seeing the funny side of the American Style voting for "The Most Desirable Car" early on in the evening (organised by Gemini by the way ) but for such a guesture.

Well fecking done that man!!!

Possibly one for Burriana500 to recount I think...

But it was good - the stuff that PH legends are made of.

The DVD player went for a fair bit IIRC…

Judas bid (and won) the Trinny and Suzanna (sp?) book… gave it to Ace-T, who then announced she'd rather have had the Foggy book

.. But the best buys were made by JamieBeeston who firstly bought back his own prize.. And then paid a stupid amount for the bottle of wine donated by Lois

The block of crystal with the Porsche seat chassis in it is directly taken from the CAD model. I was really in 2 minds if I should donate that or not, I am very glad you like it. Somebody got the BMW 3 series cab seat too.

I got a track day and I am well chuffed.

Works a treat now... was screwed on too tight, like most things, loosen it up a little with some careful screwing, and it lit up a charm!

Well how would you feel if your other half bought you a book about how to dress well?

I am really getting worried now though, first a thread about a shoe dilema, then buying a book about dressing fashionably... oh no, he is going to want an MX5!

And she obviously sat up all night reading it because on Sunday morning over coffee in the Library (oh, get you!), she told us all a very novel way of keeping your ears warm on a winter track day!

No, it's not what you're all thinking - it's worse than that!
