Will we be saying a prayer before dinner? If so, how about our own Pistonheads prayer? I have been working on this, but it could do with some expert tweeking to make it better. There's a lot of humour on Pistonheads, so come on chaps cut and paste your contributions.

Here's the original for reference:

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

And here's my effort for BTaP.

Our Father, who art on the internet, Edward be thy Name.
Thy Hooning come,
Hooning will be done, on B roads as well as A roads.
Give us this day our daily Optimax
And forgive us our duff threads
As we forgive those who post against us.
And lead us not into Lax power
But deliver us from Speed Cameras
For thine is the Kingdom
And the Power
And the Glory
Of our V8 engines
For ever and ever
Ah Ted.

That is very good BG. Very good indeed. Only just averted a disastrous coca-cola/keyboard interface. Can't think of anything to improve, but I'm not very clever in that respect...! I'll see what I can come up with.

Furtively checks email, then credit card account. clutches BTAP ticket longingly and realises there are forces at work here that mortals cannot comprehend. Opens another bottle of wine and counts the evening pills in hopeful preparation for another days toil.

You are joking Lois right?

though in case you're not

Edward is frequently shortened to Ed, or indeed, Ted.

Ted, combined with Optimax, gives us Petrol Ted.

Petrol Ted is as we all know (I think) is owner and founder of this fine electronical digiwotsit site and indeed our spiritual Lord, Master, Saviour and all round good egg.

Clear now

I told you you needed to get to more proper PH dos

Top effort Warren

Is it just me or do any other semi-oldies think that the new version of the Lord's Prayer just doesn't cut it/ I was at a christening on Sunday and recited the original (or the one we had in school 30 years ago anyway) very loudly over the new one.

Purely for ease of recitement, I would maybe change:

Our Father, who art on the internet, Edward be thy Name.

to:

Our Father, who art on the net, Petrol Ted be thy Name.

It might save confusion over the Big Man's identity

Here's my rather shoddy effort:

Our Father, Who art in Alpina, Hallowed be thy wheels
Thy right foot come
Thy numpties be done, on overtaking and under braking
Give us this day our PH stickers
And forgive us our expletives
As we forgive those who mock TVRs
And lead us not into London
But deliver us from scameras
For thine is the domain
And the coding
And the glory
For ever and ever
