Single or Double breasted?

Notch or shawl lapel?

Cummerbund or no?

For me, single, notch, cummerbund.

It really should be shawl, but I'm less traditionalist about this than the tie, which of course must be both tied by the wearer (and not the nice man in the factory supplying Burton) and never worn with a wing collar. I'm not even going to entertain discussion about anything other than black for the colour of tie and cummerbund.

Single breasted cord loop button jacket with shawl collar. Marcella fronted, turn-down collar shirt with black bow tie. Patent black slip-on shoes.

Quite looking forward to it bounce

(Although I know that a cummerbund should be worn with a single breasted jacket, I just don't like them very much).

I agree completely with you about the tie Stuart & it has to be black! None of this changing the colour to match the Mrs' dress hurl if she's wants to match - she wears black wink

Cummerbunds are to ones own taste Al, and its not like you need to wear one wink

We still need to get one frown Looked at all the under £100 options at the weekend & well hurl

Found a nice double on eBay, but worried a bit old fashioned, plus it wouldn't arrive until 7th, which is tight for time & if wrong we're screwed frown

Looks like its Moss Bros

I was looking for ideas as to how to remove the superglue tube I just stuck to the kitchen worktop and stumbled upon this link which I am sure many of the people who are attending BTaP this year will find instructive.

ETA - At Boss's request (sorry!) link above Not 100% Safe for Work if you have a battleaxe or two in your office but nothing you would be shocked to see on, say, the opening credits of Baywatch biggrin

Worth just stating that it isn't entirely safe for work if you happen to work somewhere full of prudes. Great video though, and a spot on explanation of how to tie.

It looks better than the instructions I've just printed!

Thats my fall back plan. I tied my own last year but might have been a fluke.

Happy to oblige. I'm better at it when I'm pissed though.

I was grabbed by someone after tie help in the lift one year.

Back on thread, my suit fits but I can't find a shirt and my cummerbund seems to have mildew yuck
