Just recently i have been experiencing a regular loss off power, , xe 2.o on 45s, 3d mapped. when wanting more than steady acceleration it doesnt pick up and go like hell like it should. normally it goes like hell from 3000rpm upto 6800 but now struggles to 5500, sounds a little lumpy and feels like its trying to go but cant, occasionally it comes on song and you can ride the acceleration as normal, next time you want it its not there, i would say it is getting worse as last time out it never came on song. I have cleaned out fuel filters on the carbs, there was a tiny bit of dirt on the front carb filter but nothing to speak of.old plugs had done over 30000 miles so I have now put some new plugs in, but the problem remains. before the problem the carbs were i think a little out of balance, a little hesitant when booting it from low revs but other wise fine. would badly balance carbs cause this sudden loss of power? or maybe coil pack fault? or possibly something else?

i had a similar problem with my hpc, it was a blocked air way in one of the webers--very hard to pin-down, if you have a colour-tune you can see the problem with the engine running as it happens--if you see what i mean.
