Does anybody know about this caterham?

My grandad used to own a Caterham super seven; reg: G581 YUT.

I'm just wondering if anybody owns or knows about this car, my grandad is curious to know what happened to it.

It's very rare for Caterhams to be scrapped so are you sure you have the vrm correct?

I live in Belgium and my 1987 Super Seven Sprint was imported from the UK about 10 years ago.
Aluminium skin with red nose cone and wings. If you know the chassis number I can check against my vin plate.

It was orangey yellow in colour.
Maybe I'll have to do some research myself.
