A seperate thread for another suggestion by Emerald following the car's new mapping session.

They suggest that I do away with the cat, and get a bypass pipe instead. Have been advised that it will need a lambda boss in it, to take the sensor.

Are these commonly available, or will I need to have one made?

Cheers, Bradders.

Caterham. But it's the same price as a cat, and you'll have to put the cat back on for MOT time.
It doesn't make a lot of difference in the real world though.
I had one on my R300, and when I put the cat back on I couldn't tell the difference.

Mine is going to be built without the cat (supplied in a box if needed for MOT).

I understand that the cat on an R400 swallows about 5 horseslick
