Has anyone tried the new Avon track tyre yet ? Ive been running R888's on the road ( 13" 185/205 medium ), good grip for sure but 800 miles on average for rears and maybe double that for the fronts seems excessive. Mind they are hard miles, but no donuts or standing starts.. Sadly virtually given up track days due to Crofts noise regs and subsequent lack of open pit/105 DB days.

Yes and it's a peach, but not much tread for road use. Standing water would quite easily unstick it by my reckoning. There are noticably fewer sipes than on the R888. For wet I stick with the CR500. For dry surfaces the ZZRs are superb though.
