Hi everyone,

I've got a K Series (1.4 16v) in a Metro that I use to race in the RallyCross championships.

We're allowed to 'chip' the ECU but as you all know you can't chip the MEMS ECU. We're not allowed 3d management systems so an Emerald/DTA etc etc type system is out unfortunately.

Are the ECU's in K Series Caterham's stock Rover MEMS or are they Caterham's own? If they are bespoke Caterham items (and therefore I assume mapped for performance rather than emmissions and efficiency) do you think one of these might work when mated to my engine?

Thanks for any help/advice/opinions.

The older Caterhams use Rover mems and the SS varients where modded to suit the cams in those cars The recent cars no longer use the rover mems and SS mems are scarce on the ground.

When I was at Ministers a while back, they had racks of these that they kept for the race series. They can be programmed AFAIK. Post this query in Blatchat (whilst you still can!) and see what is said. My car ran a Mems and had been remapped (badly).

you can't change the MEMS or you invalidate yourself in the series
