Loving those 8 spoke Wellers painted yellow.

I bet that the bodywork is plywood - JC Locust anyone?

I feel certain it's not a Caterham. Those appear to be Herald/Spitfire suspension arms and mounts, which aren't a problem in themselves. Definitely not a "book" Locost, I think it could be a Locust:

If it is it will have a ladder frame chassis carrying an alloy skinned plywood body or MDF if you're really unlucky.

Of course there are plenty of specials out there too.

One of the cars Caterham sued over. A piece of motoring history then.

Just not a very desirable one.

The seller is pretty much denying all knowledge of the car in the auction description. Nice.

Thank you...and keep my contifibulaties out of this, less well-endowed people will feel inadequate...

I'm not sure if he is "knowingly" breaking the law or any rules. At least he could argue the V5 says Caterham.

It does appear to be a counterfeit though, maybe Caterham should be informed.

One picture shows the spare wheel cover, bearing the words Caterham 7

It also appears to have a Lotus badge on the nosecone, like any number of non-Lotus "Lotus Sevens" rolleyes

The V5 definitely lists it as a Caterham, built in 1990.

It still looks very wrong.....
