How annoyed would you be?
Discussion
If you'd paid over 20k for a car from Caterham, and after asking them to deliver it.
It turns up on an open trailer, after a 300 mile trip oop north, on the roads as they are at the moment!
Apparently, you could write your name in the salt!
Why don't they have a shuttle?
If you're reading this, anyone from CC, I recomended you, and that car to my friend. What a letdown!

Not my car. As I said, a friend was looking for a car, and I pointed this one out.
I've been trying to convince him for a while to get one.
He bought the car last week over the phone.
He called me this morning, to say it had been delivered, and couldn't beleive they didn't even throw a cover over it.
Anyway, he's just sent me a picture of it sitting in the garage, all washed off and shiney.
I'd be sending them a bill for valeting.

If its an open trailer, it was better not to travel with a cover on despite the weather. The damage to the paintwork from a cover that isn't totally snug over the whole car is worst than the snow and salt especially as I expect they were towing at a decent lick with so many miles to go. Shame they didn't use a covered trailer though as you'd expect.
I agree totaly. Just repeating his comments.
He'll probably be a good customer for them, as I know his lad wants to get a race licence, and this is just a tester.
I can see an R500 on the cards in a year or so.
As I said, I wonder why they don't have a couple of shuttles. great advertising board, vinyl wraped with a car on, and "Another delivery from Caterham Cars" on the side.

This story is so strange, I have just finished speaking to a lad at a local garage and he said a guy popped in to see if he could use the power washer as he was delivering a burnt orange caterham to someone in stranraer, and the car wasn't covered and was covered in salt.
This seems to be the in thing when delivering caterhams these days!
I was more annoyed he never told me as I could have popped around for a look.

Ansar is known to browse certain car forums so "maybe" this'll reach him.
Having said that, there have been issues with CC in the past, lots of noise on the 'net, plenty of "Wait til Ansar reads this", then it all goes quiet and much the same things happen again six months down the line.
Everything I've ever heard about CC and their distance trading be it whole cars or branded ball point pens has been utter garbage.

I thought that's what you meant.
I have to say, I'm getting pretty fed up with the show at the moment.
I bought my first brand new, factory built car from them, back in 2005, when the changeover was happening, and it was a medeocre experience.
If it wasn't for the excitement of realising a boyhood dream, and the fact I'd flown over from Spain to collect the car, there where a couple of things I would have refused it for, albeit very minor. (But I did pay 32k for a toy!)
I'm building my second now. Fortunately it's a keeper, and I will soon be finished buying what I need from them.
I'm amaized by what people come to accept as normal.
It's a shame really, I love the cars.
