Had a straw pole at the pub last night and in work today. Seems that only 3 out of 15+ guys knew what a caterham or lotus 7 was, even after explaining the prisoner, top gear etc. Some of these guys drive nice cars too, and even they didn't know. Seems like these cars have been on my radar since birth. I was genuinly shocked at how many men dont know what is the best car on the planetsmile

I'm always amazed at how many folk come over at a filling station and say 'what is it?'

It's been going as long as me!

(Mind you, at least people don't come over to me and say 'What are you?')

I find it interesting when folks ask - and have had more Italians know exactly what the car was than folks in the UK in certain areas..

Then again, David Gilmour's own spawn doesn't know what the Cenotaph is - which is far more shocking!

Well over here in Mallorca, folks think it's an "Old" car, and is really quite slow. laugh
Oh, and the Policia Local also think loud means fast.
"Too fast, too fast" they say, wagging their finger to the giddy in the strange car. nonocop (Can we have a cop smiley with a wistle stuck in his boca? smile )
I used to get pulled just so they could look it over.

I also find I get let out of almost any junction, which is unusual for London.
