R500 seq spitting oil through gearstick
Discussion
I've got quite a bit of oil leaking in my R500 with sequential box under very hard use. It seems to be spitting finely from the gear-stick aperture, but the engine bay also has lots of misted oil everywhere, as has the foot well.
There are no leaks under the car, and the car doesn't seem to be getting through excessive engine oil. I've checked the catch-tank and that's only 1/4 full and all hoses are in place.
Could it be something to do with the gearbox oil breather? Is there an easy way to check the gearbox oil level?
Thanks
Rich

Sounds like the problem I had with my R500 with Quaife Seq Box.There are no leaks under the car, and the car doesn't seem to be getting through excessive engine oil. I've checked the catch-tank and that's only 1/4 full and all hoses are in place.

It had to go back to CC, who sent the box back to Quaife for a new rear oil seal, and a mod to the gear selector.
Perhaps worth checking with CC if your box is one that needs looking at.
