Hi

Can anyone tell me if all superlight tonneaus have got a hole with velcro patch on over the pax seat (i imagine for a racing strut)?

I had a tonneau fitted the other week and all the water goes straight through the hole,

Cheers

When buying a new tonneau from Caterham, you can specify whether they have the hole for the petty strut. I would expect the majority of folks to have the option for the future even if they don't use one (petty strut) at present. You could try using some sealant under the flap but the biggest problem is the hole is where the cover typically bows when parked! Use a piece of wood to raise the centre section slightly and this might help when parked

The flap is stitched along one side, with velcro opposite. Get another couple of pieces of velcro stitched on to complete the square and it'll stay dry.

Gaffer tape is your friend. Seal the hole with gaffer tape on both sides of the tonneau. Cut so that it doesn't show when covered byb the flap.
