Hi All

Our hire season comes to a close this week and I may keep one car on cover for the odd nice day run over winter but one we'll be laying up 'til we open again on 1 March.

Any tips on laying up - we have a trickle charger - move the car how often, start it how often, anything else? Prefer not to do axle stands etc.

Cheers

Scott.

If it were me, I'd make sure the tyres were pumped up (and stayed that way), disconnect the battery or put on a conditioner and close the garage door. It's only 4 months.

Give it a good wash underneath and....

Drive it on dry cold days -- shocking gain in the feeling of Bhp when it's cold!

In this modern day of microfibre and great jackets, drive the @£$%^ thing.

Give it a good wash underneath when you get home.

ps off Mondeo drivers and wrap up warm on a clear work day and drive to work with a grin on your face

That's how I store ours over winter!

there's just no need to do all that stuff! If you want to service it before putting it away fine, but there's no need just beacuse it's having 4 months off.

Cheers Guys

Couldn't get layup insurance so I will have a blat on dry days. I have battery conditioners.

Took one out in snow last year for a laugh and to meet Guy Smith - wrong side of exciting! Even he ( very sensibly) didn't fancy driving it! Great shame as it would have been fab to have a run with a Le Mans winner.

Cheers

Scott, would it be worthwhile getting some cheap winter wheels and tyres so you can a) take the load off the summer sets and b) go for nice, safe winter blats every now and then to keep the other mechanicals running smoothly?

Winter storage?????

Just get out and drive it!!!

I waxoil (watered down with ED40 and/or white spirit) all the chassis and skin joint areas, as well as the underside, etc.

Then just get on with having fun!
