Second link, to the DeDion versions. The CSR has a different offset (ET number)

Possibilities include:
CR500
Yokohama S.Drive
Toyo Proxes T1-R
Continental Sport Contact 2

CR500 is likely to be the best, due to light weight, but all are available in 78 load rating. I'd avoid anything higher than that.

You may want to try getting a set of 13" wheels and some baloon tyres though, i.e. 60% aspect ratio, e.g. Yokohama A539. That config is likely to be more forgiving in the wet and gives you no real change in gearing.

If you get two sets of 13" wheels you can get the other fitted with ZZRs for the track next year biggrin

What about running a caterham on proper winter tyres? Everyone's experiences of them in the snow (mine included) seem to be very positive. You probably wouldn't want to heat them up on a track day, but on the road in the cold, wet, ice and snow they might be very good.

Indeed, good plan. What size do you run Bert?

I use 14 inch Vredestein Snowtrack tyres. I know lots of people think they don't do a great deal, compared to their semi's. Trust me, they do! I've driven the car in pretty extreme winter conditions including snowy and icy roads. Nothing stopped me on these tires. And let's be honest, nothing's more fun than going for fast blast in freshly fallen snow!!!

Sorry, mine are on a galaxy and a mini! Was just musing about them being on a caterham.

The correct size for winter tyres is 185/55 15.

They fit under the front cycle wings.

thanks for all hints
