There should be a chisel in the tool roll just for that purpose, have a check to see if the previous owner left it there; they're always missing rolleyes

You can't - it's bonded in place.

Or at least that what they told me when I had mine repaired after the needle broke. Think they said that they had to break the glass to get it apart but might have remembered that incorrectly.

They all steam up to some extent

Take the dash out and put it in your airing cupboard, this should dry it out nicely, but it will come back again.
They now put a pack of silica gel inside to try and stop this happening

Hair dryer would work, but I suspect the moisture will stay in the instrument. Reading the posts over on BC people are removing the stack and taking the back off and putting desiccant in.

never worked for me personally. Seriously though, if it really bothers you. Simply drill a tiny hole on the front to allow the condensation to escape. And that is not bullst either. Mine does it all the time, but I regard it as just part of life's rich tapestry

It's all relative really.

I found the standard Caterham instruments were far worse for misting up. The Stack has been miles better in this respect.
