Does anyone know how many R500 K Series were built and when production stopped.

I have chassis no 2 (the first customer car - chassis no 1 being the factory development car) and took delivery in March 2000.

There's currently a similar discussion running on BC regarding the original SLRs - might be worth posting on BC to a slightly wider audience within the Caterham community.

Thanks V7. It was the BC thread on SLR's that prompted me to ask the question. However I am not a member of BC.

I think I remember seeing your car at Hertford Heath a long time ago.....if I'm right then your number plate reflects the fact it was the car number 2.
I've still got my 7 (alas, not an R500) although it has been hardly used for the last couple of years.
I've just rejoined BC.

Well now the troublemakers and continual posters of rubbish have moved on, or maybe been moved on, now is a very good time to rejoin BC.

If it is red with an SLR cage in the same colour, I saw it at The Goat all those years ago too!

I have number 5 off the line. One of the "customer" development cars, along with messrs Ince and Martin smile

Yes, the plate on the dash came off a crashed example I bought for some bits, and as you know the car was built by Gary May

Hi Guys

Yes, my car was at The Goat all those years ago. I might take it back again!

I haven't done many miles (about 4,800 I think). I used to think about selling it but this year I have fallen in love with it all over again.

the engine didn't go pop but had a good workout from a few days at the ring and spa chasing my duratec arf !!
the owner felt it needed a look at after its damn good thrashing so took precautionary view and it went back to minister for a refresh and is now very sweet
it was all sounding fine as it went back onto the trailer for the trip home from spa

S47 - my comments were not related to you. (Almost) Everybody knows who the individual I have trouble with on BC was. Thankfully he's gone from there now.
