Is this normal?

I checked the heater cable where is attaches to the adjuster on the heater (in the engione bay) to ensure that is was on full cold but it still expels warm (well quite warm actually) air.

It's not a problem except in the Summer (when we have a summer!!)

Would welcome any thoughts...

Thanks!

What car is it on?
I've got a clunky old Crossflow and even without the heater on there's enough heat from the engine bay to keep it toasty.

Sorry - yes of course!

It's a K series - 1.4 SS.

Just had a look on 'the other' forum - it appears I'm not alone, as others have the same problem. Not seen anyone say they've fixed it yet though!

I set mine up so that the valve hits its stop before the knob in the cockpit (not me - the heater control smile ) hits the bulkhead. The cable adjustment is, from memory, a little clamp effort that is slightly awkward to get to. I'm fairly sure that if the valve is only slightly off its stop then you do get quite a lot of heat (the heater is a bit over-size for the job!)

Oh yes, 1.4 K - good choice IMHO biggrin
