What would be the shortest height you could be to realistically be able to drive a "7" and would there be any difference between a "normal" and an SV chassis?
All contributions from "shortarsed" drivers greatly appreciated wink

I thought I might suffer the same issue being 5ft 5, however one of the kind chaps at Caterham advised me that each car can be tailored to fit.

SWMBO at 5foot and a bit fits no problem, but you need standard seats, if you're as wide as SWMBO the Tillets act like a mousetrap and are impossible to get out ofbiggrin

When we hired our 7 from CC south with leather seats, Dominic gave us specifically made pillow and cover which made a difference with my wife. However, I believe they cost about £400!! I am sure other pillows will do the bussiness. CC could also replace the whole seat forward

I am 5' 5" and have the seat all the way forward and the pedals in the middle setting (I tried the setting nearest the driver but could not get the pedal angle correct). It is fine with Tillet seats and previously I had S-type leather seats which were also OK.
My wife is 5' 0" and we have made a back rest out of an old foam camping mat. This works very well. We have in the past made a moulded backrest using 2 part foam but it always seems to shrink over time (others have been more successful).

My wife is 5ft 4 and she drove my standard Supersport no problem. She just moved the seat forward a bit.

I had to move the seat rail forward in the SV.

That sounds like the best idea - but does it not put "the wife" too close to the steering wheel???
