Manufacturer Press Photos from the 1990s
Discussion
Hi all
Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong place, or deemed an inappropriate posting. I am in the middle of researching and writing a book with the working title of A-Z of Cars of the 1990s. It is essentially a survey of every make and model sold in the UK during that decade, including major techinical/ specification details, a summary of each model's history and photos of every body style of each model sold in the 1990s. It'll be on sale in 2011.
Now, here's where I become a bit unstuck in that whilst I own and have online access to several thousand manufacturer press/ official pictures I am still a significant number short. Below I have listed the models I still require photos of, in 1990s spec, although I would happily accept pictures showing cars on 'F' and 'W' plates if they're visually identical.
I've listed the models from Caterham I require below. If you have any of them and would be willing/ able to scan them (at 300dpi) to be emailed over then drop me a message and I'll get back to you. By the way, I still require odd photos from most makes, so if you happen to own any other press/ official pictures for 1990s models, let me know what you have. Alternatively, if you have a UK-regsitered, standard/ unmodified version of one of the cars listed and are happy to take a picture of it to email over, that would be great too.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to offer assistance - it's much appreciated.
Keith

- Caterham 7
- Caterham 21
There are a few books from the 1990s on the Caterham. The two that spring to mind are "Lotus 7 - Racer for the Road" by John Tipler (which also covers the then new 21) and Chris Rees' 1996 copy of "Caterham Sevens the story ogf a Unique British Sportscar".
These books contain some manufacturer's publicity photos.

Hi,These books contain some manufacturer's publicity photos.
Thanks for the link and suggestion. I need to supply the photos in electronic format with my text, so I'd need high quality scans of originals (300dpi+) or electronic copies.
Thanks
Keith

I know that Caterham Cars used to (and presumably still do) have an 'archive' room at the showroom in Caterham. I'm sure if you asked nicely they'd either dig out what you need or let you have a poke around in there.....
Oh right - thanks for that, as I didn't know that. Unfortunately, so far, I've not had a reply from Caterham themselves but I'll pursue your suggestion.Cheers
