I'm still running in the R500, but at last it's stopped raining up here!

http://www.stevecarter.com/R500D/R500D_01.wmv (35 mb file)

(for some reason converting to wmv chopped the last 2 secs off. Strange.)

You'll notice the well behaved short shifting!

Jury service tomorrow so all fun stops. Bu66er.

Enjoyed that, thanks. Did I see a speed camera half way along that road? hehe

Mark.

The really great thing about the Bealach is that 60mph (for 90% of it) is a pretty good speed!

Stunning mate (the car and the road).

I hope that biker got a good photo!

Well spotted! I gave him a wave as I passed... doubtless the pic will be up on some biker forum somewhere

You should have gone back, given him your email address and asked him to send you a copy.

Looks damn good, but as is being discussed on BC at the moment, odd headlamps! Not sure they're my cuppa - but great colour scheme, and the lamps look good on the video wink

Hey Blatchat chaps (hello to my old chums over there) - what's the prob?

Here are my 2 R500's 2002 & 2010 (excuse the dog). IMHO 2010 position looks way better? (lower and smaller?) Less 'bug eyed'?

No storm in a teacup Steve, it's only me and one other that seems to dislike them!

Cheers Chris. Say Hi to Rob Grigsby if you see him! (7 Nutter of the highest order)

ETA, you'll be pleased to see I got rid of the nasty orange side repeaters!

I wonder if the light position helps/hinders the intake? Likewise to drag....

I have to admit that whilst I'm no fan of the new Caterham paint scheme (in general - it's just the twin strip thing!), this has to be the best looking CAT I've seen in a long time bow

It looks the absolute 'muts..' biggrin

Happy Blatting

Hi Steve,

Where did you get the clear repeater lenses for the cycle wings?

I was told by Caterham Cars that they weren't available any more!!!

Loved the video BTW

Clear side repeater lenses (there's no picture, but they appear to be available):

Yep...as above. It's the top listing with no photo. Also buy two silver bulbs that shine orange (half way down)

A 90 doesn't have reversing lamps

it does have sidelights which are identical
