Drift day is about the most fun you can have with your clothes on I reckon.
There is one thing that's better ... doing the same with your own car.My one slight complaint about the Caterham day (I did it before I got my car) was that you don't spend that much time actually in the seat. You can buy half a dozen worn tyres for the rear (fitted by onsite mobile fitter) and book yourself onto a drift day with someone like MoT for the same cost and spend hours pirohouetting away.
I did...

only if i could have one as well as my current car, as i only drive weekends then that's quite unlikely.Al...
I love the idea of building your own car though. Just not sure that i'd know where to start.

Do you have the (rare) Tyrrell P34 6 wheel option on your caterham then Chris?Bert
No, but I do seem to have the 'getting through a set of rears in half an hour option'.

I dont own a Caterham and this seems the best way to get the full on caterham experience.
Uness you are volunteering your car?
I could be persuaded to do you a swap for the day! Very much missing my old TVR and always rather fancied upgrading to a T350.Uness you are volunteering your car?
On a slightly more serious note, although you might struggle to find cheap part-worn tyres to fit a T350, there's not much chance of damaging anything on a drift day. The only thing within 400 yards was the photographer and he looked like he'd bounce, plus it's all done at quite low speeds. The same goes for things like the Car Limits days at North Weald - only one person on the track at a time and vast run off areas (it's an old bomber base).
You're right though, that doesn't strictly address the not-being-a-Caterham issue.
I did a drift day at Dunsfold last year. There were about 16 of us (from memory) sharing two cars (an S3 and an SV).
The action was split into several layouts of cones which you had to negotiate and you got attempts at each course, running against the clock.
Really good fun, learned how to donut, lots of tea, coffee and snacks. You don't ever get out of first and the instructor was reasonably patient.
Total time in the car over the day was realistically about 30 mins.

Yep, I'd say 30 minutes as a maximum.
If you haven't done a track day in the Tiv I'd urge you to give it a go. Find the right venue and there's nothing to hit; use a little discretion (and maybe only go for a shorter evening session) and the tyre wear needn't be huge; noise limits can be an issue, but go for a 'noisy' day (or fit some bolt-on silencers) and you'll be fine; plus you can get an instructor in to show you the ropes; plus you can get track day insurance. I really would urge having a go if it's not something you've done before...
