Hi Guys

I'm not sure if the issue exists on the 2l Duratec but on my 2.3 the centre of the rocker cover fills with water during rain (moreso when standing) and the whole engine bay seems to become very soaked (this didn't seem so obvious in my K series set up) This would seem less than ideal (damp starting etc) but must be the same for anyone running a 2.3 Duratec (260 CSR may have a different cover set up) Does anyone share this issue and have a solution. A bonnet with differently positioned louvres perhaps?

The issue is not a frequent problem as i rarely drive in the wet unless caught out however long trips planned this year mean i would like to find a solution as last year in France it caused me difficulties

Any thoughts welcome

trick is to cut a small drain gap with a junior hacksaw in the lip above number four cylinder that currently holds all the water in the middle of the cam cover

My 2008 2L Ford cam cover has a series of holes in the web (at number 4 cylinder end). I'm not sure if this is the same on all engines but it does look like a design feature rather than a mod.
