Assuming I get a dry track day, I know the tread starts low anyhow - I reckon they are quite low already, maybe 2.5/3mm. Is it safe to squeeze one more trackday out of? Effectively they will just be closer to slicks! Or is that a stupi way to look at it?

Yep, no problem with that. Obviously makes wet driving tricky! My current CR500s are almost slick, and working fine.

Best set I ever saw was on Rich McCann's trailer that had no tread markings or pattern on them whatsoever and looked like a set of full slicks. He pointed out that they were 32r's from the sidewalls! I don't think you will have any problems at all....

They won't start gripping like slicks though!

That's cool that is all i need to know. I am not one for taking the risk but I just wanted a sense check, I think they are easily good for one more track day.

Cheers guys

Generally they're considered finished when you lock up from having no grip left and wear them through to the canvas.
